BIBA Summer Updates
Members and Friends,
Thanks to all who came out on last week’s “I’m on a Boat” Networking Cruise. Many connections and friendships were made as BIBA welcomed several new members into the organization in an ideal summer setting. As always, we had wonderful service from Entertainment Cruises and enjoyed perfect weather.
Special thanks again to Bob Coughlin and MassBio for sponsoring the event! The MassBio team has been out in San Diego this past week representing our state’s biotech industry at the International Bio Convention. You can follow the action on twitter at @MassBio as well as the entire Massachusetts delegation at #MAPavilion.
We greatly appreciated the attendance of Consul General Breandán Ó Caollaíand Carmel Callan who have quickly become a consistent and valued presence at our events. Breandán has been a vital connector for our organization to the Irish Government and instrumental in ensuring the inclusion of BIBA’s leadership during Taoiseach Enda Kenny’s visit to Boston back in March. We look forward to continued collaboration!
We were also glad to have Michelle Prior - Boston & New England’s representative in the Rose of Tralee International Festival - on board with us. The Festival is one of Ireland's largest and longest running festivals which brings young women of Irish descent from around the world to County Kerry for a global celebration of Irish culture. This year’s festival is in mid-late August and we wish Michelle the very best of luck with it.

Tickets for BIBA’s annual “Fenway Night” have gone on sale. The event will begin with an informal reception on the roof deck of the Baseball Tavern at 5:30 followed by a walk over to Fenway for the Red Sox - Angels game (7:10 start). Members may purchase individual tickets as well as blocks of 2 and 4 for entertaining guests and colleagues. Non-member’s and friends of BIBA are more than welcome to come along and may purchase individual Guest tickets. All tickets are on sale here. They are going fast so make sure to grab them while you can!
