BBJ and BIBA name Boston Irish Business Award winners

Boston has been called the Irish capital of America.

With so many Irish born and Irish-Americans in the area, the Boston Business Journal and the Boston Irish Business Association (BIBA) have come together to recognize those who are making an impact in the Greater Boston business community at an event at the Westin Copley on Wednesday, May 29, from 8 a.m.-10 a.m.

The Boston Irish Business Awards were developed to recognize individuals who demonstrate achievements in business while retaining their connection to Ireland.
This year’s honorees are as follows:

  • Ed O’Sullivan, CEO, Payer Technologies
  • Jim Brett, president, New England Council
  • John Drew, CEO, The Drew Companies
  • John Fish, CEO, Suffolk Construction
  • Mark Gallagher, managing director, Silicon Valley Bank
  • Terry McGuire, co-founder and general partner, Polaris Partners
  • Therese Murray, Senate President of Massachusetts
