BIBA Announces 2015 Program's Calendar

The Boston Irish Business Association (BIBA) is proud to announce it's 2015 program's calendar. We couldn't be more excited about what we have scheduled and feel that we're poised to continue providing some of the best business networking opportunities in Boston. As you'll see below, our plan is to continue along with our Signature Social & Holiday Events while committing to further develop and refine our Global Growth Series. BIBA Announces Global Growth Series

BIBA is proud to announce it's first official Global Growth Series program. This will be a great opportunity to connect and learn from some of Boston's fastest growing companies...many of which are creating jobs in both the Boston area and Ireland. Our panel will cover the ever changing landscape of scaling a company for both local and global success. This event in particular is a joint collaboration with IDA Ireland, Silicon Valley Bank and Choate Hall & Stewart LLP. Further Details below...

Panelist Bios

Mark Gallagher, Senior Market Manager, Silicon Valley Bank
Mark Gallagher leads Silicon Valley Bank’s Technology practice in New England, working with high growth innovation companies in the region. Mark has provided financial services to venture capital funds and technology companies for the majority of his career. A supporter and champion of the New England technology community, Mark serves on the board of overseers for The Mass Technology Leadership Council (MTLC) and previously served as a Board Member for the Center for Innovation and Change Leadership at Suffolk University.

JD Sherman, President & Chief Operating Officer, Hubspot
JD Sherman is HubSpot's, President & Chief Operating Officer. JD has spent the last 3 years growing the Hubspot business nationally and globally before which he spent the previous 6 years as Akamai's Chief Financial Officer, where he was responsible for finance, strategic planning, and corporate development. During his tenure, Akamai grew from just over $200 million to $1.2 billion in revenue with over 2,000 employees globally, and was added to the S&P500 index. Prior to his time at Akamai, JD spent 15 years at IBM in a number of finance roles.

Nick Malone, Chief Administrative Officer & Treasurer, Wayfair
Nicholas Malone oversees the finance, legal, human resources and real estate functions of the business. He began his tenure at Wayfair as CFO and Vice President of Finance in 2005 and helped the company grow from $40 million in revenue to over $800 million in annual revenue. Prior to joining Wayfair, Nick was the Finance head of the IT Services Division of Siemens AG. He has also held Vice President of Finance roles at Mercator Software and Enhance Financial Services Group and served as the Chief Financial Officer at SYNNAP, a startup web hosting company.

Mary Jefts, Chief Financial Officer, Unidesk Corporation
As Chief Financial Officer, Mary Jefts is responsible for Unidesk's finance, legal, human resource and administration functions. Mary has over 20 years of financial leadership experience with both public and private companies, primarily in the technology sector. Prior to Unidesk, Mary was Chief Financial Officer at Acquia and was instrumental in leading the company through its explosive growth. Prior to Acquia, Mary was a Business Unit Executive in the Business Analytics Division at IBM with global responsibility for sales, marketing, services and development. Mary has also held financial leadership positions at Openpages, Netegrity, Prime Response and PhyMatrix.

Joshua Feast, CEO & Co-Founder, Cogito Corporation
Joshua’s focus is on helping Cogito’s clients increase their customer interaction success. His track-record includes over fifteen years of solution delivery to human services, government and financial services organizations. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management where he was the Platinum-Triangle Fulbright Scholar in Entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor of Technology from Massey University in New Zealand. As CEO of Cogito Joshua has lead the company through an astounding 3-Year Growth Rate of 1,529%! has honored them with a spot on their list of the “10 Fastest-Growing Companies in Boston” (#2).
